The importance of a failsafe

RC Tip of the day to the newer RC enthusiast.
You must run your cars with a fail safe. I have been at the track many times, and watched people lose control of their car/truck for whatever reason (usually a connection or antenna problem), and saw $2000 Tc's fly in pieces after smashing into barriers or even worse, a marshal.

Here is how a fail safe works.
You first have to program it according to the manufactures instructions.
Then set it to brake when signal is lost.

So for example:
Your car is ripping down a strait away, you bang into someone, and now have no control over your RC... you can wave goodbye to it as it passes you doing 50 MPH towards a wall, or you can be thankfull that you put in a fail safe and say "hey"! why did my car stop for no reason.. Then it will hit you!
AH!!! my fail safe saved me a lot of money and aggravation.

So don't be a fool.. A fail safe is a cheap safety feature you should all have.
I'll post video's of runaway RC"S.
Thanks.

Nitro Blizzard

Perhaps one of the coolest and unique nitro vehicles, The Kyosho Nitro Blizzard.
I borrowed this pic off the web. so thank you to the rightfull owner.

HPI RS4 MT

Get ready for the ground pounding excitement of the first four wheel drive racing truck! The HPI RS4 MT carved out a completely new niche in the Off-Road market.
The massive traction of the On-Road RS4 cars is well known. So, the HPI engineers put on their thinking caps to come up with a big truck that can handle the slipperiest terrain.
The result is the RS4 MT Monster Truck (part 501)! With an ultra-efficient dual belt drive system, long-stroke oil filled shocks, a traction control slipper clutch, new HPI 48 pitch gears, 3 stage dirt protection and a great looking Ford F150 body, the RS4 MT is one tough truck.

Kyosho 1/8 scale onroad

Kyosho Evolva M3 Evo 1/8th scale
If you've never watched this class run on a proffessional track, you need to!
This is one of the most fun classes to drive, and fast as anything out there. Just a little pricey.
Here is the work up from the carmaker.

I post these cars from MY experience, not anything else. Just what I have played with, worked on, or at least driven and like.
Im sure i will put things about cars that i Dislike at some point. Like the old Tmaxx..I hated that truck.
Kyosho has introduced the updated version of their Evolva M3 1/8th scale on road car, the M3 Evo. Featuring a whole host of small changes to improve upon their World Championship winning Evolva platform, the designers addressed some of the issues with the previous car to help increase durability, add more adjustability and improve performance. With a focus on the drive train, the car sports a new 2 speed transmission, gears & shaft as well as a new centre and rear bulkheads and new rear belt. The M3 Evo also has a new chassis plate for increased flex, new more rigid lower rear suspension arms and a new rear sway bar system and lots more little changes. Expect it to hit the market mid July in time for the World Championships.

Kyosho Evolva M3 Evo 1/8th scale

- New 2 Speed Transmission – Newly designed 2 speed transmission allows the new M3 Evo to achieve ultra smooth shifting.
- Newly Designed Gears – The new M3 Evo comes equipped with newly designed transmission gears which helps for smother shifting.

Losi LST

Losi LOSB0016 LST XXL Monster Truck RTR
The nitro-powered 1/8-scale  Monster Truck proves that bigger is always better.
Its a sick truck that competes with the HPI Savage, Team Associated, MGT, and other Monster trucks of the like.
This truck is rock solid, and can take a hit.
The LST XXL features an extended wheelbase and a longer chassis which provides improved handling and stability, making for a better ride and easier operation.
Dyno tuned and ported for the highest level of power from the first startup, the 454 big block engine can pull the LST XXL from a dead stop up to speeds approaching 50 mph without a hiccup. Well thats what they claim. It does tend to move with ease.

This over all, in my opinion, is a great truck.

Rc Nitro racing

I live here in the northeast (NYC) to be exact, I love racing nitro RC cars. I have everything from rc boats, to monster trucks, and everything in between.
The engine i like to run the most is Novarossi .21 in my buggies, truggie, and monster trucks.
Its a good way to blow off steam, and play with my sons.
